What is this check IP address?
We present you with a tool designed to search for IP and check what its provider is as well as the location where it operates, including even coordinates.
IPs identify every device connected to a network: interface, switch, routers, computers and any other device linked to it.
Generally, every Internet connection has an IP. However, providers always try to give you shared public IP (technically called CG-NAT) to save on costs, so it's common for several people to share it unknowingly.
What data does our IP geolocation checker offer? IPLookUp makes a query of the IP you give it to return you as a result information regarding:
- The address location. We give you information about the municipality, its postal code, the province it belongs to and the country. Likewise, you even get the coordinates of the IP you're looking for. It's the easiest way to know where an IP connects from.
- The IP version. An IP can be IPv4 or IPv6 and our IP finder details it for you.
- The network it belongs to. All IPs are born from a network that hosts them and whose address is similar; we give you that too!
- See IP provider. From the network provider we give you both its ASN and the registered business organization.
Track an IP's location immediately and for free and get all its information!

Frequently Asked Questions
No. There's no secure and anonymous way to know this information, as these are delicate services. Being susceptible to being used to carry out illegal actions, we reserve the right to search for and give this type of information. What you can check is what network the IP corresponds to and also what its version is.
ASN refers to Autonomous System Number, an autonomous system identifier, which is nothing more than the set of IPs controlled by the same provider. This would allow you to know the company to which the IP in question belongs (although with our checker tool we tell you directly).
That information cannot be known in detail. Geolocation tools provide approximate data. For example, IPLookUp even tells you the postal code of the area, but we can't be more precise. It depends on the provider and how they assign IP ranges.
For the above reason, you won't be able to reach a particular person by entering only an IP address. Legal intervention is required for that. Your provider is the one who associates you with an IP address, being the only one who knows the information.
Knowing who owns an IP has its nuances. We can know the owner (usually a provider company), but not the person using it. The ASN data that IPLookUp provides corresponds to the entity responsible for the IP.
Knowing an aspect like knowing the location of an IP is not so simple. Although we can get very close, your provider's data center may be located in a different locality from yours (this often happens in small municipalities).
Most IPs are IPv4, with a format of 4 numbers separated by a dot (.). However, you may also have an IPv6, more complex, which includes combined numbers and letters, separated by colons (:) and is much more extensive. We encourage you to find out with our IP tracker, which shows you that information (among much more).
Knowing the digits that make up an IP, you can look up any public IP: servers, websites, users you interact with or corporate networks. You just need to enter it in our IP tracking box.
Indeed. One of the ways we classify IPs is precisely this. There are static ones (that remain) and dynamic ones. That is, your provider assigns you different IPs from time to time. In turn, even if you keep your IP, its information may change (new owner or location).
This ip address lookup allows you to know the location and provider data simply by entering the IP and pressing the search icon (magnifying glass). The data provided, instantly, corresponds of course to the latest update that has been made in the database where this information is found.
Of course. You can search and check as many IP addresses as you like. You simply need to paste the address, press the magnifying glass and repeat the process as many times as you need. Plus, you don't need to register or provide any personal data.
